Lyrics for “Maniac”, “Red Solo Cup” and others up for auction

Collectors might be interested in this: Handwritten song lyrics for hit songs such as “Maniac,” “If Tomorrow Never Comes” and “The Gambler” are up for auction on eBay to benefit the Center for Contemplative Justice (CCJ) Ecuador, in San Eduardo, Ecuador. The song lyrics are written by the songwriter, signed by at least one of the song’s writers and are framed.

The centre is part of a larger social project that includes a school and a womens’ social enterprise. The group behind these initiatives also dug the only well in the community.

Inevitably, however, the centre needs more funds to continue its work. As the husband one of of the pastors involved is the Grammy award-winning songwriter Marcus Hummon, a group of songwriters decided to contribute hand-written lyrics to their hits and put them up for auction.
